Alicias Biography

Alicia Keys was born on January 25, 1981 in New York, New York. Her
birth name is Alicia Augello Cooks. She was raised by her mom Nikki
Augello.

Alicia started piano lessons when she was 7 years old.

She continued with piano and that got her in Manhattan's prestigious
Professional Performance Arts School. Having shined academically,
Alicia was allowed to graduate at the age of 16.

Alicia Keys caught the attention of some record companies while she
was in high school.
