NARRATIVE IN DEMO TEACHING

When you are in a situation that its the first time you did, youll also feel what I feel
when Im going to conduct a demo teaching. Feelings and emotions that are mixing in my whole
body that I cant describe is what I feel. But before we experienced that, trials and hardships are
in our path. Thinking what topic were going to discussed was our first challenge. On that stage,
I spent a lot of my time. I should knew what was interesting and were does my students will pay
much attention and effort while listening to me. I got some suggestion from other co-observe and
especially to those teachers that have a lot of experienced in doing that job. With the help of the,
I came to a topic which was the Alamat ng Waling-Waling. Next thing to do was to construct a
lesson plan that will guide me on the process of teaching. It could help me how to execute and
perform my demo teaching in a synchronize way. Another challenge to me especially that I was
not an artistic person was creating my visual aids. But there were no excuses when youre a
teacher. We should be flexible to do all the tasks that were given to us. So Ill use my mind and
creativity to think for the best creation of my visual aids.
When all the things needed are ready, familiarity on the flow of our discussion was one of
our top priorities. Knowing the flow of what were teaching, we can assured that we can got a
high grade.
On the time that I was waiting, those mixed emotions wanted me to collapse. I was
nervous, a little bit excited and many things were ruining in my mind. I was just handled my
emotions and feeling to avoid bad effect on my performance. Before I own the floor, I uttered a
short prayer for GOD gave me all the guidance Ill needed for my one our performance.
As I started my demo teaching and as my performance continues, all those emotions I felt
before my performance went gone. I just focused on what Im doing and think that when I failed
doing the right way of teaching, my students will suffer. Its because the knowledge they will
gained was depend to me.
After my performance, I was happy and said thanks GOD, Im done. Another part of
my journey as a student was already done and I think theres many more to come. All those
comments and suggestions for improvement that was told and written should follow so that for
the next time Im doing again demo teaching, it was better than the last.

REFLECTION IN FIELD STUDY 1

On the time of our field study, when we conducted an observation on the school
we prefer to observed, we noticed that the development of a student and the environment
around them has a great impact on their study. The facilities of the school and classroom
and the environment, can support the learning of each students. If the school and its
facilities was a conducive learning environment, students willingness to go to school
would increase that gives them encouragement to continue their studies. And also the
learners development has a great impact on the way they participate and interact in the
school. Every teacher or educator should be familiar on the salient characteristics of each
of her/his students or learners because the approached needed on the way we taught them
may not be applicable to other students they have. Also with those characteristics we can
be able to know the personality of students, their family background, educational
background, likes and dislikes that affect their learning style. And that whats an effective
educator should know to his/her students. We should not think that whatever we did was
enough. Maybe sometimes its not. Broader minds are needed to conduct and think for
the better strategy in each and every time we are teaching.

REFLECTION ON FIELD STUDY 2

What I can infer on this field study 2 was how to be an effective instructor or
teacher to our student by applying all those principles of teaching. On this field were
able to know through our observation how those teachers we observed execute their
teaching style. What method or strategies they used that would comply the objectives
they presented at the beginning of their class. We should be able to know also if the
students can really cope or interact with what their teacher used in his/her teaching
method by the assessments that were given to them. Those assessments will measure if
the teacher should change the teaching strategy he/she used or stick to the one if its
successful. The teacher should be a keen observer because she is the one that will know if
his/her teaching strategy is working or not. And also as an effective teacher we should be
the one that will adjust on the capabilities of our student and not the students adjust for
us.
Therefore, all those important ideas should put together whenever we conducted a
class discussion because that would be the elements on how we can attained our
objectives, that what is important for all those objectives was how our students will
learned from us.

REFLECTION ON FIELD STUDY 3

We should adapt on what was in-demand or in on the present days. And I think we all
know were on the time that the technology was the most famous. On this book of field study 3,
the focus was on the technologies used on the learning situation. As a future educator, we should
be flexible to use those technologies that would help us to make our teaching strategy more
creative or artistic. And also we should think that our students wanted what is new and where
they can relate their interest because of their age. Also on this book we can find other teaching
tools that convey information to our student like the bulletin boards or display boards. We learn
also from this book the MOOCs which is more beneficial and convenient to access for us busy
person. This would be a great help for all the educators out there because we can learn new and
we can be more professionalize to our field with the help of the courses offer from MOOCs.
Therefore, the uses of technology like the electronic resources we needed in every
discussion we have and traditional one should equally notice used because those two was an
important teaching tool. Maybe the traditional materials cannot do what the technology does and
also what a technology cannot do sometimes can do by the traditional materials.

STATEMENT OF BELIEFS
The teaching profession makes every other profession possible. That the biggest and
hardest mission in the hands of a teacher. Other says that teacher was just a low level of college
degree but what they dont know was that because of a teacher we will never have an engineer, a
doctor, an accountant or any other profession.
I believe that a teacher was not a profession. It is a mission. We should salute all the
teachers that continue to teach us even were not willing to learn and to listen to them. Teaching
was a difficult job. Why? Its because the teacher was not doing their job just for themselves and
for the salary but they need to think that there are future that depend on them. They face
challenges and trials before they become a teacher and have a licensed that proves that they are
one that are respectable.
Sleepless nights and pimples is what a teacher got from so many paper works they need
to accomplish. We said that if we came home from our work we do not have to do anything
because we finish it already. Teachers dont feel that. They need to prepare again for what they
are going to teach on the next day. So we should give respect and importance to each one of them
because if you try to do what they doing, Im definitely sure you will think to give up.
