We are excited to be back in our normal
routine. The children have worked extremely
hard this week and have gotten used to having
homework once again.

should have new levels since our last one on one reading assessment. We will
be focusing for the next four weeks on our writing responses, sequencing,
and details from the story.
Phonics: We will continue with Unit 4 in Fundations. We will be focusing
on consonant suffixes, vowel suffixes and basewords. We will be working on
the endings: /-es/, /-est/, /-ed/, /-ing/ and /-er/. We will also introduce
the following vowel teams: /oa/, /ow/, /ou/, /oo/, /ue/, /ew/and /
oe/.Please look on our blog for the parent letter for Unit 4 to explain all
this!
Religion: Next week we begin Chapter 9. Please continue to do the Chapter Review with your child and initial the top of the page.
Math: We will start on Chapter 3: Data and Graphs: Using Operations. This
is a very hard chapter. We will not have a final test on this chapter and will
be more working on exposing the children to graphs and data than working
towards mastery of these concepts.
