WORK EXPERIENCE
Business Development Co-op, Areco, Grasse, France

Research Assistant, Webster Nanomedicine Lab, Boston, MA

January-June 2015

Managed the expansion of company's business operations within the U.S.

Analyzed companys products and structure. Then, using existing design, tailored an operation to be implemented within the U.S., which
involved taking into account the variance in resources, culture, industries, and regulations.
Established relationships with key market players and advanced relationships with current partners, customers and service providers.
Worked to solve day-to-day problems with existing export clients. For example, created a complete spare parts guide including translated
part names, pricing, reference numbers, photos, and suggested stocking quantities.
Organized and executed a two-day meeting with Arecos international representatives. Planned all presentations, trainings, site visits,
flights, hotels, meals, finances, and transportation.
Created company documentation including company core values statements, marketing materials, technical documents, contracts, and
quotations.
Gained experience in sales, business development, knowledge of cultures and practices throughout the world, and proficiency in EBP a
French customer relationship management system.

July-December 2014

Experimented with chemically synthesized selenium nanoparticles bound to Poly (l-lactic acid).
Analyzed the effect that time, volume, and substrate surface area had on substrate coverage and surface energy.
Collected substrate surface data using a goniometer and scanning electron microscope. Data was then used to create a quadratic model
predicting and optimizing the synthesis of selenium nanoparticles.

Chemist Intern, Morpho Detection LLC, Wilmington, MA

Designed and conducted experiments to optimize the signal strength of a UV light ionization prototype.
Evaluated experimental results, presented findings at team meetings, and composed technical reports.
Defined the drift times of several explosives for the system library.
Contributed to TSA product certification (MobileTrace) through in field data collection and laboratory testing.

Researched alternative supply vendors through experimentation and comparison to existing inventory.
