William Penn Music Booster Meeting Minutes

Call to order 6:35 pm
By-Laws/Kelly Doty:
A new revised By-Laws was distributed (attached) for review and comment.
Any By-Law suggestions are to be forwarded to Kelly Doty for inclusion in the next
version.
A final revised copy of the By-Laws to be presented at the next meeting for voting of
approval of the suggested changes.
A final revised version of the By-Laws will be distributed and posted on the music
booster web page prior to the next booster meeting.
President Report/Barb Waltz:
A $200.00 refund will be due back from the year-end music banquet caterer is
forthcoming. The refund was requested and negotiated back because of the lack of
food/service provided by the caterer.
Treasurer Report/Donna Owens:
$27,762 total for all accounts has been reported. Attached is a cash flow report.
Secretary Report/Mickey Wherry:
Nothing to report
Fundraising/Don Waltz:
Save-Around books should be ready for fundraising by the beginning of August.
More details to follow.
Don Waltz to follow-up with the vendor and advise on having a mattress sale.
Home Show/Barb:
Outdoor A proposal has been developed and will be submitted to the school/district
to move the outdoor show from Frawley Stadium to William Penn High School
football field. This move is being addressed because the exterior facilities (i.e.

parking lot areas) are not available for use for the outdoor show. Frawley Stadium
has booked another event for the parking lot areas.
Indoor Date of either 3/12/16 or 3/19/16 to be considered for the indoor home
show.

Executive Board:
Slate of Officers for the 2015/2016 school year was presented. Nominations for the
slate was opened. Nominations were accepted. They are as follows:

o Treasurer: Karen Hopkins
o Secretary: Mickey Wherry
Voting was completed with all in attendance (except Mr. Archer). Results of the
voting are as follows:

o Vice-President:Pam Fleming (voting results: Josue Quiles:5; Pam Fleming: 6)
o Treasurer: Karen Hopkins
o Secretary: Mickey Wherry
Board Members:
Slate of Board members for the 2015/2016 was presented (attached). All members
for the board are accepted as they were unopposed.
Committee Chairs:
Committee Chairs have been presented (attached).
Sewing chair is open. Looking for volunteer to fill this position.
o Mr. Archer to identify if sewing help will be needed for Guard as the new
instructor has a staff ready.
Uniform/Clothing Chair is open. Looking for volunteer to fill this position.
