problems.Workinginanonlineschoolenvironmentrequiressomeextracreativitytosolvethe
problem.

IamresearchingtheuseofLiveScribePensalongwithLiveScribeDesktopsoftwaretoincrease
mathscores,especiallyforconstructedresponseproblems.Thepensrecordthewritingaswell
asaudio.WritinginBlackboardCollaboratewithapenwouldbemucheasierforteachersand
studentsthantryingtowritewithamouse.

Itwouldalsobeanefficientwayforstudentstosharetheirthoughtprocesseswhile
problemsolving,makingcorrectivefeedbackmoreeffective.

PostResearchDiscussion:
Thesepensarecosteffective,runningabout$100apiece.They
addressmultiplemodesoflearning.Thinkaloudsareaneffectivestrategyusedbyinstructors
andstudents,andareanaturaluseforthisdigitalpen.Thepencanbeusedforall
subjects/coursesbythestudentsandbytheinstructor.Learningtousethepentakesabout30
minutes.Theycanbenefitallstudentsincludingspecialpopulations.
