Green Revolution Outline
I. - Intro Paragraph
Hook- Human minds are instinctively drawn to the negative side of situations. One can
only wonder how much of the positive information is disregarded do to this fascination for
the negative aspects of life.
Thesis- The Green revolution had a positive impact on the world by improving the lifestyle
of the people around the world, introducing new advancements in technology, and showing
that despite failures, one must remain dedicated and he will succeed.
II. - Supporting Info: Improving the lifestyle of people around the world
A. use The New Green Revolution to portray Borlaug as a leader for introducing new
agricultural ideas such as nitrogen based fertilizer for the betterment of many
societies.
B. use The Grassroots of a Green Revolution to show the examples where the Green
Revolution improved the life and lifestyle of many people around the world
especially by making the lives of agriculturalists easier.
C.use Public Agronomy to demonstrate the work Borlaug did to increase the yield of
crops for many countries and how it benefitted the lives of many in those areas.
III. - Supporting Info: introducing new advancements
A.use Evaluating 35 Years of Green Revolution Technology to give the data of the
success of the Green Revolution in Asia, the percentages of increased yield, decreased
tillage, and the outcomes of the successes by these new techniques.
B.use A Historical Perspective from the Green Revolution to show the help that hybrid
plants brought to the world by altering plants such as shortening wheat stems and
allow for greater growth.
C. use Impacts of the Green Revolution to show the advancements in farming and
technology inspired by the green revolution such as new techniques of tillage and
fertilization that occured shortly after the Green Revolution.
IV. - Supporting Info:Despite failures, one must remain dedicated and he will succeed.
A.use Borlaugs Revolution to express how his work and the Green Revolution revived
failing crops and bettered the lives of many by increasing yield and how Borlaug
worked to improve his work in areas where it was failing such as the failure in Africa
due to mono-cropping.
B.use From Seeds of Change to show the amount of time and effort put into the Green
Revolution and how the results of less time and money with more result made it
worth it.
C.use Bringing Africas Farms back to Life to show the struggles of the Green revolution
in Africa due to mono-cropping and the efforts taken to rebuilt the society after the
failure in agriculture.
V. - Conclusion

Concluding Sentence-Although the Green Revolution was faced with many trials it
ultimately had a positive impact because it bettered the lives of many agriculturalists, led
to the advancements of agricultural technology, and impired others to dedicate
themselves to achieve their goals.
