Description:

This course will explore digital photography. The class will use your digital
camera to take a variety of pictures using the different settings & functions that
your camera has to offer. The class will focus on composition in both color and
black and white photography. Photoshop will be used as an aid to enhancing
and altering photos. You need to have your own digital camera or

Phone for this class.

Objectives

You will learn how to use a digital camera.

You will take fine art photographs- not snapshots.
You will learn to use Photoshop to enhance your photos.
You will use a website as a form of communication and a place to turn in.

Instructional
Methods

This class is all done on-line. Mrs. Riehle will do one on one teaching as well as
demonstrations in class.

Tests:

We do not have a semester test, however you will have a semester project that will
be configured into your 2nd quarter grade.

Powerschool
Considerations

One week after an assignment is turned in a zero will be put into the grade book if
not turned in. However, it can still be turned in for credit until the end of the quarter
( a note will be put in the grade book ).

Remediation:

Assignments are expected to be turned in on time.

Students with certain conditions that will not allow them to fully accomplish the
course objectives and assignments should contact the instructor as soon as possible.

Do not be on questionable websites- if you are not working on your photos

you should be researching and getting inspiration from photography links Mrs.
Riehle gives you. (There is a reason my desk is in the back)

Use your class time wisely- if you get behind in class it is VERY hard to catch
up.

Work until the last 5 minutes of class- unless we are working on a very messy
project. There is always something for you to do in the art room! (I always
need something cleaned)
