To gain the students attention we have been practicing the teacher saying Hocus Pocus and the kids will
say Everybody focus or you say 123 eyes on me the students will say 12 eyes on you
Feel free to move students names up on the surprise box chart for good choices.

take the reader out into the wet area and take one student at a time.

9.10 Ask a child to pick a number of the day. Put the number on the small white
board and ask children to assist completing the chart.
9.15 Ask the calendar and weather monitors to assist in the date change and
selecting the weather- this is located on the large whiteboard.
9.20 Interactive story
I will ensure this is open on the desk top. Read the story and click on the
bugs as you go, children will come up to interact with the board to answer
the questions.

Write sentence into story
Again, this will be opened on the desktop- it is just written in word, please writing book.
read it out aloud then ask the children to join in with you on the second time
around.
The level 2 worksheet students (they know who they are)- Read the
sentence together and you can read the mixed up sentence on the bottom
(level 2 should be able to begin now) children will unjumble and paste in
order. - Please remind them to write the sentence into their story writing
book.
Level 1 will stay on floor, please discuss their sentence in further detail and
practice reading together a couple of times before they begin.
Early finishers can go onto the phonics activities they will know what
they are on.

9.55 Fruit and Fitness and a story book


Children can have their healthy snack while you share the book Scary
Night- once the book is finished discuss rhyming words.
Find and list the rhyming words in the story. Brainstorm other words that
rhyme with night, cave, roar, stairs, pink.
Outside for a run, game or play on playground for 5 mins.

Open the Jolly Phonics Games- select the picture of the computer then the
Picture Puzzles game- this will then match up with the activity on page 13.
Work through the game together before they complete the activity in their
jolly phonics books for them to complete.
Early finishers to colour in page 13 and go onto phonics activities.

Select the handwriting icon on bottom of desktop.
Children to have handwriting books out and date on top before you begin.
Letter today is qu two rows of qu- explain where to start and finish on
the lines the write and sentence using qu words.

You Tube The doorbell rang, watch the story on the IWB. Discuss.
I will have the rotations groups open on desk top. Each group spends
approx. 10 mins on each activity.

We will move into next doors room with Viv Gilbertson and she will run a
joint buddies activity. She will have the list and activities organised.
2.50 Assembly in the gym. We sit on the right hand side of the gym.
