Hello, my name is Fabiola Seideman. I am twenty one years old.

This is my first
year at ecoturism carreer. My section is number one at Idma institute and I am
going to talk about THE CHASCONA MUSEUM.
The Chascona museum is located in Santiago specifically in Fernando de la
Plata #0192 with Constitution Street in the south of the city. It is surronded by
Bellavista neighbourhood wich is in the north of Mapocho river and close to
Baquedano station. You have to walk across Pio Nono Bridge passing Santa
Maria Avenue then take left in Antonio Lopez de Bello street and you will find
Constitution.
THE Chascona is one of the three houses of Pablo Neruda. He was a Chilean
diplomat, politician, and one of the most chilean famous poets. The house was
built in 1953 by an Spanishman architect German Rodriguez Arias. The writer
lived there with his lover Matilde Urrutia.
Now is a well-known museum where we can found all his books collections
including his specialize section with six thousand and five hundred of them.
There are bottles collections, seashells and ship stuff like masts and
figureheads. The museum is open from ten am to six pm during the week
inclusive Mondays.
The Chascona is similar to a ship like all the houses of Pablo because he loved
the sea and he was very passionate about it even when he didnt know how to
swim. He always wanted to be a sailor. His poetry is usually well-known around
the world furthermore he won the Nobel Prize.
At the museum you will found an audio guide tour available in English, French,
German, Portuguese and Spanish. This system is included in the price of your
ticket. No reservation is required.
I choose THE CHASCONA I always heard about Pablo Neruda houses and
because we often heard about him in our literature and culture.
So, dear foreigners come to visit the museum it is going to blow up your mind.
in orther to know more about his houses, poetry and his life .thanks
