Materials: Glencoe Georgia Math Volume 1 and 2 AND Binder with dividers and paper, PENCIL ONLY!
Homework Policy: Homework reinforces concepts presented at school and is an integral component of
each students educational experience. It provides an opportunity for students to explore and master
skills more thoroughly than class time will allow. Additionally, homework encourages the development
of responsibility, self-discipline, and personal study skills.
Tests and Quizzes: We will follow an 18 week semester schedule. Progress reports will go out at the
4 , 9, and 13 week points. We WILL have an interim each semester which will count for a grade. A
Comprehensive Final Exam will be given at the end of first semester and the end of the year. Quizzes
are given periodically to assess understanding of a certain math concept. Tests are given at the
conclusion of each unit.

Make-Up Work: It is the students responsibility to make up work he/she has missed. Students
need to check the What Did I Miss folder when they return to school from being absent.

If a student is absent one day, two days to make up work will be given.
If a student is present when an assignment is given, the student is expected to turn in the
assignment when he/she returns unless arrangements have been made with the teacher.
If an assignment is given prior to a prearranged absence, it is expected that work will be
turned in the day the student returns. Incomplete homework and classwork will be recorded
as (NTI) Never Turned In until the work is completed.

Help Day: Help sessions are available each Tuesday (just for Math) from 8:15-9:00. This is an
excellent time to clear up any misunderstandings a student may have with an assignment or attend for
extra practice. Remember, practice makes permanent! I will also have extra help days throughout the
year on an as needed basis.

Students must complete the study guide in its entirety before the test is given to be eligible
for a re-assessment for that test.
Students must make corrections on a test after it is given before a re-assessment is given.
