Ask and respond to simple questions

Use correct pronunciation, and

correct themselves accordingly after
being corrected.

Assessment:
Formative: Teacher is observing to ensure students use
proper pronunciation and understand what is being asked,
and how to answer.

Activities:

Introduce todays lesson (weather) as a re-cap of their knowledge from

previous lesson

Hand out pictorial word reference page

Teacher goes over pronunciation; students repeat [go over vocabulary

words and how to ask the what the weather is like and how to answer]

Todays activity: Charades (the first team to correctly guess all of the
weather scenarios wins)
1. Split the class into 2 teams. Each team stands in a circle facing one
another.
2. Each team gets a bucket filled with the weather flash cards. The first
student pulls out a card. The team must ask quel temps fait-il? and
then the actor may begin acting. Students must guess the answers
using the proper French vocabulary (may use cue cards)
3. Once the first card has been correctly guessed, pass the bucket for the
next student to act. Repeat until the whole bucket is done.
When one team is finished, they are encouraged to help the other team
finish.
To close, teacher asks students if they have any questions about
pronunciation.
