Excelled in project management and communications initiatives. Engaged frequently with media to coordinate
engagements such as radio interviews, newspaper articles, and local TV segments. Wrote effective press
releases distributed to media contacts, as well as managing projects such as promotion, social media
engagement, tour booking, and showcase applications.
Developed strong writing skills by working on grant proposals including the CADA Artist Opportunity Grant,
which resulted in Ellen receiving nearly $2000 to showcase at Folk Alliance International. Received and
responded in a professional manner to all email communications on behalf of Ellen as well as her corporate
bookings company Upscale Entertainment Inc.
Gained skills in event coordination working with Kit and Ace to create a launch party around Ellens latest
single and music video release. Remained highly organized through coordination of a concert series at the Fort
Calgary theatre, including promoting the event through print materials, social media, and press outlets.
Managed social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) creating a schedule of content to be posted
daily across channels, using Hootesuite to schedule posts. Received Hootesuite Professional Certification by
completing training on this platform. Created, designed, and managed www.ellendoty.com using
SquareSpace. Designed and coordinated new electronic press kit materials.
