be political, religious, natural or foreign in nature.
Country had invaders come in but were defeated, the descendants were put into
slavery. The country was power hungry and that created the civil war in the
country.

different cultures communicate with each other, which languages takes precedence and
why?
Two languages, the original countrys language takes precedence, Matthias thinks
blind man is foreign but he is actually a native but sympathized with the opposing
country and thats why hes a slave
7. Whats the primary means of communication? Do people use carrier pigeons or radio
transmissions? Do they write letters or send emails? Can they communicate over large or
infinite distances, or are they limited by the means they use?

Griffin Express takes the mail off the island (griffins are also slaves)

8. Whats the predominant culture? Just clarify the main idea, the main shape and form of
the society, not every detail. You need to know whether the societys focus is on warfare,
scientific evolution, religion, consumerism, slavery and so on.

9. Whats the current form of societal normalcy? Is it common for John Smith to be a
worker with wife and kids and a small home of his own? Is it common for him to be a
slave? Is it normal state for a citizen (or inhabitant) to be actively engaged in a
community or is it every man for himself? Does Mr. Smith have access to basic
technology like a mobile phone and a TV, or an own intelligent robot or a fire-spitting
dragon?
Every man for himself, he is a slave, if not a slave he would never be seen helping or talking
to one unless, he owns the slave. Live in fear of being killed to next day
10. What are some core moral values of this society? Do people care about basic human
rights and freedom of speech? Do they value tradition over progress or the other way
around? Etc.
Tradition, no freedom of speech, the government wants itthe government will take it, no
education for slaves, those who flee will be killed on site- ex. wolfs head

Metal for war machines/weapons/armor

12. How does it go about satisfying this need?
The slaves start stealing raw bits of metal, and some of them are forging it into
weapons! Hidden in seaside caves, secret tunnels
Mining, rich people own the mines and are using the slaves to mine the metal
They send out riders to collect things
Perhaps the metals is like a weakness of their enemies
Food hunting, foraging, fishing
13. What can your hero possibly do to disrupt normalcy in this world?
He stole a dragon egg
He escapes
The dragons dont like him
He could eat all the food

Start a revolt
14. Now how can you drive him to do that, unwillingly or unavoidably?
The blind man gets sick/wounded and that drives him to escape to heal him
