READING/LANGUAGE ARTS
Begin the class subject by asking questions to the students about the topics
we discussed the previous day. The material discussed the previous day will
lead us into the chosen reading material of the present day.
In teaching the students elements of a story and sequence, I will conduct
shared reading. This way all students are following along and able to
participate when needed. Shared reading also allows for me, the teacher, to
discuss parts of the book as I read the material.
After the shared reading, we will discuss the book as an entire class to ensure
comprehension. Then, they will begin their arts and crafts assignments in
relation to the reading. They will be creating their own type of graphic
organizer without knowing, as they will follow the modeling I do for the
assignment.

Once completed with the shared reading, we will move onto language arts. In
covering certain spelling and pronunciation of words, I will point to words
being read aloud. With my finger I will point to parts of the word that that are
either irregular or digraphs. I will explain to my students the rules of spelling
as well as sounds out the letters with their proper pronunciation. This allows
for visual learners and audio learners to grasp the subject being taught. For
my kinesthetic learners, the hands on activity will take place with the
assignment in relation to that subject.

-MATH

10:45

In teaching math, many manipulatives will be used.

Whiteboards and dry erase markers will be used to gain student
participation.
Students will be put in small groups for certain assignments for
cooperative learning.
Students will have coloring sheets, in which they must find the
answer to each math problem. The answer to the problem
correlates to a color. They are to color the sheet in, so that it
creates a design. I will model this assignment to get them
started.

-HISITORY

Using Elmo and trusted resources, we will research, as class, a

historical figure.
The class will then either create illustrations, small stories, or role play,
based off of what they learned as a class
