EXPERIENCE

Thesis, Mapping Urban Futures, May 2015 - September 2015

My thesis looks to investigate innovative strategies - in particular, living labs - as a means to foster urban
sustainability transitions. Urban living labs are seen as a means to engage end users in the co-creation and
co-generation of knowledge supporting products, services or processes for sustainability in cities. The
thesis aims to: identify living labs for sustainability; explore to what extent current funding strategies
support living labs; and use Geographic Information Systems (geospatial analysis) in community-based
research to analyze social equity issued surrounding living labs.
