Unit Assignment: The School Through Your Eyes
TASK:
A picture paints a thousand words and this is your
opportunity to capture the beauty of our school though
the lens of your camera. Our religious theme of the
school year is Joy, you are to capture the beauty of joy
around our school.
You will need to capture your picture while composing
your photo with the appropriate guideline. As a group
you will share your photographs while analyzing and
critiquing the photographs compositional image.

Overall Expectations:
A1. I will demonstrate an understanding of the core concepts, techniques, and skills required to
produce a range of communications media products or services;
A3. I will demonstrate an understanding of and apply the interpersonal and communication skills
necessary to work effectively in a team setting.
B2. I will be able to apply a design process or other problem-solving processes to meet a range
of challenges in communications technology;
B3. I will create a photograph that demonstrates competence in the application of creative and
technical skills.

Specific Expectations:

texture, space) and principles (e.g., balance, rhythm, proportion, contrast, flow)

Key Concepts & Ideas

The Elements and Principles of Design used in
graphics are also used when composing the perfect
shot. Using horizontal lines will have a calming effect on
the viewer while vertical lines will increase the impact of
the composition. Using diagonal lines will carry the eye
into and through a scene. A balanced composition is
pleasing to the eye and sometimes simplicity is best.
A camera will help you appreciate the beauty in all
objects from a shiny pebble to a glorious sunset.
