Lesson Title: Wish Upon a Star

Content Objectives: Students will be able to express their wishes concerning travel. Students will be
able to hold conversations about what they would like to do during travel/where they would like to
travel if they could.

Special Cross-Cultural Considerations:


Most Korean high school students havent travelled outside of Korea before, so this activity will allow
them to consider travel.
Because of lack of experience abroad, many of their responses maybe based on stereotypes.
The girls are highly interested in boys and dating, so they may focus on romantic landmarks.

Materials:
Homemade destination deck of cards.
Projector to project the PowerPoint presentation
Stickers for rewards

problems (with aid of co-teacher if necessary)

sentence if they dont have any pairs to prompt

Be patient as it may just take time.
Rephrase the question if needed.
Have all students repeat individual students
sentences to encourage focus.

Accuracy and completeness of sentences about destinations, ability to answer questions in complete
sentences with accuracy, accuracy of pronunciation.
