GOLDEN LUMBER COMPANY

What is the problem?


At this case, problem exist. From Golden Lumber Company the problem may
defined as; you also think your job. You are new in this place and as a new comer,
you have to prove your worth. Lets define this that Nando must think that e is a
trainee, and as a trainee he must learn to adjust and adopt the characteristics and
life strategies of his fellow employees.
Therefore the problem is that Nando never knew his big responsibility in the
company being a trainee of personnel supervisor. He has also given a choice of not
continuing his resignation, like what is stated case It is up to you if you want to be
one of us but he continued his resignation and accepted on the following day that
he submitted his resignation on July 6, 1966.

What are our objectives?


With this problem, many solution that I gathered to solve the case. In this
statement how can you be a personnel supervisor? You dont even know who the
supervisor here are. Do you know what you job really is? That was asked by Ted
Copuz. These objectives is concerning to Nando:

To be able to know his obligation as a trainee of being a personnel supervisor


of the company.
To identify and to observe the different ability and works of individual.

For these reason, Nando will know his rule in the company and him to
adjusting himself to other supervisors order.

What alternatives are open to us?


On July 6, 1966, Nando submitted his resignation. Yet his resignation was
accepted. At first Nando was deciding to take a Job as a Personnel Clerk with Golden
Lumber, as a part of his training he was sent to Samar to continue his 6 months
training for to be responsible enough in his work. But unfortunately he didnt do his
job well. When Mr. Torres gave him a task he uninterested with it. Thats why
He might think the job that has given to him.
Reject his resignation and give him a chance to do it well.

Conclusion.
Therefore, as a part of his on-the-job-training he must finish the 6 months
training but he only consumed 6 days of training. If I were the supervisor, I will give
him a chance to be effective in the company and for him to think his responsibility
in the company. Because in real business world failure is a learning experience to
individual.
