Reports on the Annual Dinner, supervised by Robert Ross ( manager of the Amenities)
was very positive with rave notices for the food. Everyone thought the decorations were
lovely and the service very responsive. The large crowd of around 60 people was
handled easily and efficiently.
We learned that the Tiki Bar at Creekside will be opening for both liquor (with a full bar)
and light food. There will now be a grill for hamburgers and hot dogs and it will be
staffed. This will start on Sat. June 6th and be a trial period for Saturdays & Sundays.
Depending on response this could be expanded.
John Fitterman, our Membership Director announced that the Fall Classes for Beginners
will start on September 21. Rich and Carol Burns will be instructing.
A Social Event is planned for the reopening of the Croquet Court at Creekside. It was
tentatively set for Thursday, June 4th following Wine & Wickets. The date to be
dependent on court readiness. A Pizza Party was discussed.
The Invitational Committee had their first meeting on May 9th. The Co-Directors are
Naomi Mass and Cass Gaisor. Other members of the Committee are Antonia Marmo
Marie Gaeta, Bill Todd, George Betz and John Fitterman.
A Hammock Dunes Play Day was discussed for November with dates to be decided after
consultation with the HD President.
The Club Championship for 2015 is now scheduled for December 5 th and 6th. Format and
eligibility to be decided.
The Club now has 84 members, including the newest member, Bob Crouch, who has
rejoined the Club. This represents a 9% drop, following the dues payment deadline
which, considering we did not have our usual Spring Class due to Court Conditions, is
very satisfactory.
The court resurfacing is progressing well and on schedule.
