Chapter 1
Revolutionary War
The Revolutionary War began in the year
1775 and ended in 1783. The war was
between the colonies and the British. In the
Revolutionary War many acts, famous people
and battles cam about.
Many years before the Revolutionary War, the
British won the French and Indian War. It cost
the British a lot of money. So Britain taxed the
Colonist. The colonist were not happy
because It was taxation without
representation.
Here are some of the acts they taxed them
with to get money back, for example:
1761 the sugar act. They taxed sugar and
Cotton
1765 the quartering act. The British soldiers
could come in your help
1773 the tea act. They taxed there tea and it
also started the Boston tea party
1714 the riot act. The British could not fire for
an hour.

These were just to name a few. Some

famous people that came out of the
Revolutionary War are: Paul Revere was
famous for his midnight ride to tell the
British were coming. Benjamin Franklin
one of the founding fathers who helped
drafted the Declaration and the
constitution. Molly pitcher she carried
water to the soldiers on the battle field.
There were. Any battles during the
Revolutionary War. The battle of Trenton
were George Washington and his troops
crossed the Delaware river to defeat the
British. The battle of Yorktown witch was
the cast major battle of the war. The
colonist used guerilla warfare and made
the British retreat
There are many more battles, to many to
name all of them.

Boston

massacre

Story

The Boston massacre happened on March 5,

1770 in Boston Massachusetts. It happened
because a kid went up to a solider and said
"you need to pay your bill to your master".As
the guard ignored him. The other guard said
"you should be mor respectful to a guard".
And hit him with the back of his gun. The boys
friend yelled and it stared a crowd to form.
The captin sent more guards down to help
them. A mob came around the corners do
stared to throw snowballs and at other objects
at the guards. As a person from the mob
came up to the guard and hit him. As he fired
b y accident. So the other guards thought that
someone gave the permission to fire. So as
they fired in the crowed. The captain said"how
gave you the permission to fire". By then 5
were dead and and 6 were injured. The
Boston massacre was the beginning of the
revolutionary War.

It was a crisp night asI stood there with my

musket. As my musket was my only self
defense as a boy walked up to me with his
friends. He said " you need to pay your bills to
my master", as I ignore the little Brat, but my
friend didn't. He goes up to him and said "you
should know better not to disrespect my
friend", and. Hit him in the face with the back
of his gun. As I thought to myself,what are we
getting into? I whispered into Johnny's ear "
that was a bad Idea. But he did not listen. The
boy was in pain as he fell to the ground. His
friend stared to shout at Johnny. And more
and more people stared to show up. I stared
to feel nervous so I called for help as bill and
jack came down with there musket's pointing
in the crowd. As the crowd keep throwing
snowball's and rocks at us. As an man comes
running and screaming comes at me and hits
me against the wall as I accidentally fired
upward everybody on the side walk fired

Into the crowd and killed 5 people. As I was

hurt badly I was blamed for giving the order to
fire and went to prison for life.

example it started the American Revolutionary
War and this is how. When they shout at the
colonist the colonist were mad and rebelled
they were mad at The British and that was
one reason why they got mad and start the
American Revolutionary War also another
reason why the American Revolutionary War
happened is because they taxed there tea
and they dumped the tea into the Boston
harrier so he British shut the gate to get in
and out

Into they cleaned the tea up. These were the

reasons the Boston massacre was important
is why they got mad for example they got mad
because king George he 3rd put so many acts
on the colonist to pay so many dollars so that
is one reason why they got mad also they had
have British soldiers into there homes for
almost every day so that is another reason
the colonist got mad
A final reason why the Boston massacre was
important because Paul revere was involved I
will tell you how he was involved he painted a
picture of the Boston massacre to show it
looked like they were killing us it got the
colonist even more mad so that they would
follow Paul to get the British and the end the
war.
Those were three reason of new the Boston
massacre is important.
