CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT GLENN C. GREENWOOD


Chief Master Sergeant Glenn C. Greenwood is the
Superintendent of the 9th Maintenance G r o u p , Beale Air
Force Base, California. He advises the commander on the
health and welfare of 1,228 enlisted personnel spanning 11
AFSCs and provides training, mentorship and professional
growth opportunities. He manages and executes a $9.3M
operational budget and a $150M sensor equipment
maintenance contract. He is the senior enlisted maintenance
manager for field-level repair and modifications on
assigned U-2S/T, RQ-4, MC-12 and T-38 valued at $4.5B in
support of the 9th Reconnaissance Wings ISR mission.
Chief Greenwood entered the Air Force in April 1986. His
background includes numerous leadership roles across the
aircraft maintenance complex, maintenance information systems development and sustainment
activities and command-level assignments. He has been stationed at locations in Mississippi,
Japan, Korea, Panama, Alaska, Alabama, Georgia and Virginia. His deployment experience
includes Operation DESERT STORM, SOUTHERNWATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM, and most
recently, he led Combat Search and Rescue operations in Bagram, Afghanistan in support of
Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
Prior to assuming his current position, he served as the 9th Maintenance Squadron
Superintendent, Beale Air Force Base, California.
