Name:

Step 1: Explain the question or problem to be tested.

Background knowledge/research/
observations Ive already made about the topic

I know that the ball and the pencil is not going to hit my in the face.

Write a question or describe a problem I want to test with my experiment:

To write a question, use this format: How does ---- affect ---?
To describe a problem, use some version of the word effect or affect
My question is: Is the ball faster or solar then the pensile.

Step 2: Formulate & Explain your Prediction

What I think could happen and why?

I thing that the ball is a little bit solar then the pencil. I thing so because the pencil not weight as much
as the ball.

Step 3: Design method (your steps)

Materials:
Quantity/
Number
(how many
do you
need)

Size

Object

(when
necessary)

(include a picture if it is helpful)

timer

Methods:
What are the steps in your experiment?
Description of what to do

Picture or diagram
(if it is helpful to explain how to do the step)

1.

Put the
Wier to two trees and then put the yarn in the middle.

2.

Put the ball on the yarn.

3.

Take the timer and ask a friend to take the time.

4.

You stand whit your ball. The ball

has to be as

far up as your nose.

5.

Then you let the ball go to the other side and back the
ball is not going to hit your face.

6.

Do the same thing whit the pencil.

7.

See whit one is faster.

What warnings, if any, might you need to make in doing this experiment?
The thing you swing has to be as far up as your nose. If not you will be heat in the face.

Step 4: Explain possible changes

To identify your CHANGES:
What changes could be made to give you a clearer picture?
Adding or removing equipment, changing the materials or the environment, etc
Change the soccer ball to something that wahy a little bit more.

Step 5: Interpret & Explain Results

Experiment results
Make a list of the results that you noticed/observed or
calculated from the experiment

Conclusions
For each result, write what the results might mean
(you might have to do some scientific research for this step!)

I sow the ball was a little bit slouer then the pensol.
I sow the the pensol was a bit faster then the ball. It
was hard to see that the pensol wwas faster.

It was hard to see because all people where not the

same hiet. So when I say that you have to hold it as
same hiet as your nose. Some kids have to hull the
things a little bit lower down.
I have kenetic Energy and potenschial Energy.

Step 6: Further Questions

What might you still be wondering about
your problem/research question?

I have see all that I want to see. And I have a little

bit of AHA moment.
