COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will serve as an introduction to holistic medicine while focusing on
contemporary and alternative medicine (CAM). This class will be dedicated to
understanding the basic concepts of a more holistic approach to medicine, along
with mind and body connection.
COURSE OUTCOMES
Course Outcomes: By the end of this course, you should be able to:
1. To understand the basics of a proper health assessment
2. Design a health and wellness plan for a client
3. Learn the major concepts of various holistic approaches to healing
4. Learn specific approaches to healing
5. Feel confident in the creation and use of specific herbal medicines and products
6. Understand the differences between contemporary and alternative medicine
GRADING

Grading will be based upon a cumulative score of tests, quizzes, labs, and write-ups
