Womens Luncheon
On May 30, 2015 at The Meeting Place at Springhill we had our first annual
womens luncheon, led by our very own Lead Moderator Addreine Young.
The theme, A Good Cup of Jesus, scripture reference was John 4:7-14,
The woman at the well. When she emptied herself of sin, she could be filled
with living water (Jesus) where she would never thirst again. We should all
be willing to empty out in order to be filled. The message was not the only
highlight of the day. Lead Moderator was ordained to minister the gospel.
With this honor comes great responsibility. Her response to the ordination
was, Its an honor to serve the people of God. To do what Jesus did and
does; to serve is the greatest work Ive ever don. This is just the beginning.
Honorees Pastors Shelly and Linda Williams were recognized for their mentorship in the Youngs
lives. The announcement of TMPs Fellowship mother, Miss Linda Jacobs took place also.
Among those honored was Mrs. Kathy Beene, with every story there is a beginning. The birth of
the ministry was started through Naos Salon and Mrs. Beene was
the first and still present client. This was truly a surprise to her.
We would like to thank all attendees and a special thanks to
Bridgette Salsbury, Mary Armwood, and Tangela Riser for making it
possible for someone other than themselves to attend. May God
bless you for your gift.

Closet Christian
So many people want to profess Christ and Christianity when its convenient or when there is
something to gain. But what happens when its not popular, the in thing or goes along with
what society is doing at the present time. What happens when Christ makes you see yourself,
the deed you are doing are not as righteous but are less than perfect. This is what Nicodemus
faced. His heart, mind, body, and soul said that he needed to have a face to face with the
Keeper of our soul. But he did what most people do, tried to figure out a way to have God and
the world. It flashed in his mind, all that he had acquired in this life. His status, position, authority, power, the wealth and importance he had earned for himself. He didnt want to lose
that nor did he wan to lose an opportunity to meet the greatest man that has ever lived. The
Lord of Lords and the Kind of Kings, yes, he want to meet His maker. He did like most of us,
he became excited with the thought of God talking to him, being in his life and having a relationship with him as long as it did cost him everything. You will never come in contact with a
world changing God and stay the same. John 3:2 This man came to Jesus by night. Just like
them as it is now, Nicodemus knew, there was more to it.

From the Editor

In this Christian walk we are presented with many choices. The choice to take up our
cross or the choice to put it down are, in my opinion, the two most important choices you shall
ever make in your life. To choose the cross means to place a bulls eye on you. Every area of
your life becomes open game to the plots and ploys of the enemy. Know that God is with you
even until the end. Remember: Dont quit, just finish.
