We have decided to a website that incorporates many different mediums.

Description
We will be creating a website called Best and Worst Managers of the 21st Century that includes a
variety of different forms of medias such as articles, clips, short stories/case studies, columns, radio/podcast,
broadcast/newscast etc. This website will focus on the general idea of Business 101 but touches on specific
issues/ideas throughout. For unit one, we are going to have a column that talks about Do you really know who
youre working with? discussing about not knowing your workers well enough which leads to communication
barriers, backing it up with real life statistics and examples (stories). This connects to everything needed to talk
about from unit one. For unit two, discussing the different types of contingency leadership styles, using the
Blake and Mouton Leadership Grid, Theory X/Y, and Equity Theory, these concepts will be shown though a
short radio broadcast by a business radio station that people can listen to while driving in their car. This
broadcast lets them call in and participate in daily discussions. For this particular broadcast, RadioBiz focuses
on the segment of Hows your boss? Angel or Devil? People are going to call in and discuss their type of
bosses or leaders. After this segment, Battle of the Bosses will have two guests, two bosses, with two different
motivational styles of both Theory X and Theory Y, in which they will discuss about which theory is better in
the workplace. To add, we will have a short advice column that addresses emotional intelligence and how to
deal with a manager that lacks emotional intelligence. For unit 3, by using reference to TV shows, we will
analyze the different group inputs and processes that make the team effective or ineffective, written in reference
as a article and as a story. For addressing two types of conflict, petty personality conflict and cross-cultural
conflict, we will be acting out Judge Judy but having the judge being a manager from the workplace. Two
employees will be coming to talk about their conflict at different times to try and resolve their issue. Then for
unit four, we will have another Judge Manager episode, which focuses on the issue of Legal Considerations in
Human Resources.
