Learning Skills:
- Collaboration
Can students work together; share creative ideas and time manage with peers
while collaborating?
- Independence
Can students work independently to solve problems?
- Self-Direction
Can students effectively complete tasks before or within the time given?
Can students stay on task for the complete lesson?
Rationale:
In Core French, it is important to incorporate all 4 strands of the curriculum into each lesson and unit.
It is important to give them an opportunity to read, write, listen and speak in each class. This unit is
intended to be hands on and relatable to the students. Not only does this unit reinforce spontaneous,
authentic conversations and interactions in French, but it incorporates financial literacy, and can be
implemented to coincide with the fractions and decimals unit.
