A toothbrush got me to the famous resort and casino in La Union.

This story happened to me when I attended the Regional Mass Training in English
Grade 10 at San Fernando City, La Union. We were billeted at the Ocean Resort in Poro
Point, somewhere in La Union, overlooking the other side of the province or perhaps
other province like Pangasinan. My bad, I forgot to bring one of the most important
things when someone is out of town like a seminar or training. I forgot to bring my
toothbrush. I was doubtful to go out on my own because I wasnt familiar with the place
and I doubted if it was accessible by a tricycle or any mode of transportation. Luckily, Sir
Mike, one of the trainees and a friend of mine had his scooter with him. He travelled on
it because he said it was convenient.
So, I asked him if we can go to town to buy something. He didnt fail me because he
also wanted to buy something. On our way to the town, we were confronted by the
security personnel at the Poro Points checkpoint for not wearing helmet but we didnt
stop. It was the citys ordinance that persons in motorcycles must wear their helmet. Sir
Mike actually brought his helmet so after a few meters away from the checkpoint, he
stopped the scooter and he wore his helmet and we continued on our way. After
purchasing the things we needed, we went back to the venue. Unbeknownst to us, the
security personnel were waiting for us in that checkpoint. They asked us to stop and told
us that it was strictly prohibited that persons in motorcycles, drivers and back rides must
wear their helmet. I was told to get off from the motorcycle and walk through the venue
or wait for a ride. My sweat glands excreted too much sweat. I couldnt imagine myself
as ignorant of the law and I wasnt excused for that. After three minutes, If my memory
serves me right, a tricycle came with a passenger. I rode on it, asked for the driver to
bring me to Ocean Resort. The lady passenger inside the tricycle was on her way to a
resort and casino, a very famous resort and casino in La Union, which I will no longer
mention here for privacy purpose. So, by chance, I was able to see whats in the vicinity
of that resort and casino. I took a single photo from it but I chose not to post it because
of the security or privacy purpose. After that, I was brought to the trainings venue by the
tricycle. So, that was the story of a toothbrush that got me to the famous resort and
casino.
