Language Arts

Growth in the Language Arts is a developmental process which occurs over a period of time and
flourishes in a supportive, literate environment in which children create their own order and
cohesive language rules by using language in varied, functional and meaningful contexts.
Children need to actively engage in the process of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

The Writing Process Goal is to have children want to write in a way that others may
enjoy and understand.
Language Skills such as Spelling, Grammar, Punctuation etc., are taught in context or as
formal lessons as the children need them. There will be an emphasis on using proper
punctuation and spelling. This is evaluated on the cycle 3.2 Epreuve.
