RE: MINISTERIAL ORDERS CONFERRING RESERVE STATUS
On behalf of the Treaty Land Entitlement Committee of Manitoba, and in accordance
with the 1997 Manitoba Framework Agreement (MFA) Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE)
and Part 2 of the Manitoba Claim Settlements implementation Act, | urge you to
exercise your Ministerial authority to immediately confer Reserve status, via Ministerial
Order, on the following six TLE Crown Land Selections and five TLE Acquisitions for the
following Entitlement First Nations:
The Galley Restaurant (Buffalo Point First Nation): 81.20 Acres
East of God's River (Manto Sipi Cree Nation): 177.20 Acres
West Shore of Semmens Lake (Manto Sipi Cree Nation): 914 Acres.
Kingfisher Bay (Mathias Golomb Cree Nation) 1,470.28 Acres
Kississing Lake (Mathias Colomb Cree Nation): 1,331.57 Acres
Fairy Lake (Norway House Cree Nation): 1,878.00 Actes
5 Acquired Parcels (Rolling River First Nation). 661.00 Acres
Given that only 1 TLE acquired parcel of land (.136 acres) was set aside as Reserve by
Canada under the MFA in the 2014-2015 fiscal year, your immediate attention and
action on the above is required,
