Recapping the sight words we have learned, reading these words in print, writing them and saying them aloud. The children will
also go on a sight word hunt to find them in their environment.
We are also continuing with the skill of blending the sounds together to read and write CVC words.
The children will complete a writing activity in their squiggle books where they write and draw about their favourite part of KG1.

categories. They will identify the missing parts of a pattern through a game. Also they will be looking at patterns that they must
continue and extend, and create their own patterns.

Home activities

Literacy: provide regular opportunities for your child to read at home. Also encourage them to draw pictures and write words
and sentences about these pictures using their sight words and sounds that they know.
Numeracy: look for patterns around the home. Provide your child with materials to create their own patterns e.g colours,
drawing materials, shapes, pasta, etc
UOI: Pick a day to look outside up at the sky and discuss how it looks, draw a picture. Then at night time do the same and
compare how the sky looks.
