GALT Wholesale Retail Trip

October 21st, 2014
It was October 2014, Sophomores of San Leandro High venture off to the
Sacramento Galt Flea Market. While walking to a nearby small eating area with tables,
we gathered our investment of $25.00 and started our enterprise of shopping. My
group walked through many admirable booths with key chains and accessories. The
booths were very compact but had much to offer, but at a price that we would have
much difficulty successfully advertising. Our instructor, Ms.Fregosa, instructed us to
stay in pairs and groups and explore the booths, to make sure that we didnt look like
a student who was truant.
One thing that was on my groups mind were cheap key chains that had either
pirates or a local major league sports team name. About 50 minutes of walking
through the extended booths, we started to get hungry. Near the center of the entire
market where there were multiple food booths. Mainly everyone crowded near
anything that sold burritos or tacos, though the best of all, a caramel filled churro.
Ms. Fregosa and Mr. Lucero and all the students there craved this valued treat.
After a second or fifth churro, the search went on and i found a small item that
i thought of being valuable, so I quickly bought some and continued on. About
1:00pm we started to purchase or observe the last rows to see if we can buy anything
else. By the time most of everyone is at the gate where we all started, someone put
down a stink bomb, which the area was evacuated swiftly and quickly. By 1:30 we
were all gathering back on the two buses we went there on while trying to fit the
blanket and posters for Luceros kids. By the time we got back to the school, at about
2:30, we all in Business Academy left to go home. It was a very fun, now we will sell
our product we chose at our holiday sale.
