Riot,andIhavetheprovetobackit.
Codeinvestigation:
I'macomputersciencemajorandIdecidedtoinvestigatethematchmakingalgorithm,
becauselet'sadmitit:weallfeelthatsomethingfishyisgoingon.Iwenttomy
"C:\ProgramFiles\RitoGames"andimportedtheprojectintomyIDE.Now,thesubclassof
Game,RankedGame,hasamethodcalled"createTeams()".
Thismethodcreatestwoteamsforagame(game.team1andgame.team2).(Oddly
enough,youarealwayspartofgame.team1,probablyduetoamirrorprogramming
pattern.)Inthismethodtheyuseacreatorpatterntocompositethosetwoteams.Your
teamgetsa"game.team1=Team.buildOwnTeam()",andtheotherteamgets
"game.team2=Team.buildOtherTeam()".Fornow,there'snothingstrange.Right?Indeed,
thedirtstartsinthestaticbuildOwnTeam()method.

Thealgorithmchecksifyourwinratioisabove50%orbelow,andcreates5players
accordingtoit.Youarethefirstplayer,andthesecondandthirdplayerarealwaystwo
randomplayersthathavethesameskillcapasyou,andareabletoplaythegameas
goodasyoutoacertainextend.Whenyourwinratioisbelow50%,thefourthandfifth
playersarealsorandomplayers.HOWEVER,whenyourwinratioisabove50%yougeta
socalled"BalancingPlayer"(BP),anda50%chanceofgettinganother"Balancing
Player".

IstillhavetoinvestigatetheBuildOtherTeam()method,butitlooksunfairaswell.I've
alreadydiscoveredthatteam2.player1=Player.getOneTrickPonyMid(),team2.player2=

Player.findOtherPlayer(),team2.player5=findOtherPlayer().
Toconclude:
Riotpreventsyoufromeasilygettingawinratioabove50%.Thereareprobablytwo
reasonsforthis.
Thefirstreasonisbalance.Althoughitmightbeunfair,itdoeskeepyourwinratioaround
