Male athletes in UP wear skirts, dance for gender equality

Male athletes in UP Cebu wear skirts and dresses while doing Zumba to
campaign for a gender-responsive Intramurals on March 26, 2015 in UP Cebu
grounds.
The activity is part of the University of the Philippine Cebu Gender and
Development Offices HeforShe campaign: Towards a Gender Responsive
Intramurals on 24-27 March 2015.

Gender and Development Facebook page read. But to acknowledge prevailing
stereotypes in gender binaries and be able to transcend from these categories.
The campaign aims to raise awareness, empathy and solidarity among men
in the fight against prevailing discrimination against women, allowing men to
articulate the issues endured by women, and including them as crucial partners in
the process of advocacy for women emancipation.
The activity is co-sponsored by UP Political Science Society, Physical
Education (PE) Programs and HeForShe-Cebu.
