Profile
I am currently studying at Sheffield Hallam University. I am in my third year of my
course studying Design and Technology with Education and QTS. I hope to
complete the year and move into a teaching career.
I am 21 years of age and from a small town within East Yorkshire called Driffield,
where I have lived all of my life.
I am a confident and enthusiastic individual who thrives from success. I have an
excellent ability of time keeping and work management. I am able to efficiently
communicate with a wide range of people and both work successfully as a team
and individually.
I gained my full driving licence 4 years ago and have not received any criminal
convictions.
My Personal interests include playing Rugby, I have been part of the Driffield
RUFC for around 7 years. Increasing my participation and ability over these
years. I have also helped out with a rugby team within my first placement school
running coaching sessions on a weekly basis after school. I also enjoy cycling in
my spare time, exploring new areas and trails to use.
Experience
Paper Round (2010-2011) I worked at a local newspaper shop in Driffield
delivering newspapers. This required motivation to complete the job every day at
a young age and also shows I have good time management and organisational
skills.
Farm work (2011- present day) I currently work at a pig farm on the outskirts of
Scarbourgh. At this job I have gained more responsibility of tasks and activities. I
have had to be able to work effectively both as a team and individually to get
tasks completed quickly and efficiently. I have also needed to be able to prioritise
tasks and work through jobs systematically. The length I have worked at the farm
shows how I am committed to what I do and how I put as much effort into work
as possible.
Primary school experience (2015) I spent 2 days within a primary school
looking at year six classes and getting involved with how they are taught. I also
was involved with a question time where the students asked questions about
their worries and thoughts about moving into a new school. This was a good
experience as it showed me what and how students get taught prior to coming to
secondary school. It also allows me to understand what students are feeling
when they first come to Year 7.

Skills

I am efficient at both working as a team or individually.

I have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to be
able to help and understand others.
I am reliable and extremely hard working no matter what the task
is.
I have an excellent understanding of technology and the latest
software.
I am caring and compassionate about others.
