voice recordings /notes I have decided to use multiple interviewees
as I want different thoughts and opinions.
I Have chosen students from age 13- to 16, those of us who arent
allowed to vote

Secondary Research: (Internet /books)

Key Facts:
You cannot vote until you are 18.
You can register to vote if you are: 16 years old or over (but you cannot vote
until you are 18 years old) A British citizen. An Irish, Commonwealth or
European Union citizen who is resident in the UK. 20 Apr 2015
The elections are this year.
The total number of voters in Britain is 44 million.
The election is traditionally held on a Thursday. But this is only a convention as
the Prime Minister can call a general election for any day.
A party can lose an election even if they win more overall votes. In 1951, Labour polled
more votes but won fewer seats. The same happened to the Conservatives in February
1974.

Progressive questions
What questions will you ask and when

So, guys, It is to my understanding that youre all under the age of 18, I
feel that we as a generation are unaware of the important decisions that
are made in the adult world to drive our Nation.
But why is it that I feel so unaware? I mean you dont expect kids our age
to always be paying attention to the news all the time. But why is it that
we dont know more? Should we have education of the subject in school
more?

Personally when I think about politics, few things come to mind, such as
debates and policies, but Im not sure kids of today know whats going on
all the time. Its confusing, and its irritating that its everywhere in our
life, and school dont provide it as some sort of compulsory set of
lessons.

Following this will be th second story from dan, the other headlines and
the weather. We will finish the show with an outtro.

Identifying Show Format

What style of news broadcast are you going to produce and
why?
Interview, because its interesting to get information off locals and
see what they think about the situation at the time, and their live
thoughts.

How are you going to ensure your broadcast meets this

style?
I will ask informal questions regarding the elections and political
parties and see what kind of answers they will give, they will be
mainly open questions so any answer can be expected.

Provide some examples of similar styles of news broadcasts

below explaining why you have chosen them
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGzg1Ho9KeI
these interviews are very humorous and although mien wont be
exactly like this, I enjoy seeing the freedom the interviewees have.
Open questions often end up with opens answers and this is the
kind of information that needs to be provided with an opinion rather
than fact.

Order of Content
Why is it important to consider the order in which news is
presented?

What is the order of content for your show?

News (conservative
party wins)
Summary of news show
headlines
Interviews

Second story

Weather and show finish

Why have you decided to order your show in this way?

Because it ties in best with current events and the ordered. I will
first explain about the winning in the elections, then we will move
onto the summary of the news show, explaining the nature of the
show and what is happening, this will help almost introduce the
show in a sense. And then we will talk about them with students my
age, this will help bring the topic together.

Relevance of Content

Who is the target audience of your news broadcast?

College and secondary school students. Mainly because we are
interviewing secondary school and college students. We can all
relate to each other because were all on the same level of
education practically.

How is the content of your news broadcast relevant to its

audience?

Its not. And because of this,. Its great to see the opinions of stud
tends who arent involved with any of this, like grown up do in the
adult world.

How will you ensure your target audiences interests/needs

are met?

The theme of our investigation is young people, gaming ( second

story) and my young peoples politics appreciation both come under
the life of a young person. And these contracting topics make the
interview more interesting.
