Purpose of Interview:
What is the purpose of this interview?
To find out what young people understand about politics in Henley.
To understand how much they know or even care about the
upcoming elections.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQ1LzloD9ns
I would like to set out my interview, by stating that teenagers may
have varying opinions about what politics, if they know or even
about it. Y interviewing several young people, I may have a greater
understanding oh how much students and young people know about
the world.
Research of Guest
Primary Research: (Interviews with guest to find out what they
know; interviews with friends of guest to find out about guest) Insert
voice recordings /notes I have decided to use multiple interviewees
as I want different thoughts and opinions.
I Have chosen students from age 13- to 16, those of us who arent
allowed to vote
Key Facts:
You cannot vote until you are 18.
You can register to vote if you are: 16 years old or over (but you cannot vote
until you are 18 years old) A British citizen. An Irish, Commonwealth or
European Union citizen who is resident in the UK. 20 Apr 2015
The elections are this year.
The total number of voters in Britain is 44 million.
The election is traditionally held on a Thursday. But this is only a convention as
the Prime Minister can call a general election for any day.
A party can lose an election even if they win more overall votes. In 1951, Labour polled
more votes but won fewer seats. The same happened to the Conservatives in February
1974.

So, guys, It is to my understanding that youre all under the age of 18, I
feel that we as a generation are unaware of the important decisions that
are made in the adult world to drive our Nation.
But why is it that I feel so unaware? I mean you dont expect kids our age
to always be paying attention to the news all the time. But why is it that
we dont know more? Should we have education of the subject in school
more?
Personally when I think about politics, few things come to mind, such as
debates and policies, but Im not sure kids of today know whats going on
all the time. Its confusing, and its irritating that its everywhere in our
life, and school dont provide it as some sort of compulsory set of
lessons.
Following this will be th second story from dan, the other headlines and
the weather. We will finish the show with an outtro.
