As the country fights for ways and means to alleviate poverty at all levels and rural
areas in particular, there will be a public debate to discuss whether technical,
entrepreneurial and vocational education and Training has a role in this fight.
The debate will be held as follows:

What role can stakeholders play in reducing youth unemployment through
technical and vocational education in rural areas?
What are the challenges being faced in the up-skilling of the youths in the
rural areas?
What have been TEVETAs interventions in the rural areas and are these
programmes addressing the needs of such communities?
What is the role of the youth to be able to benefit from Tevet system in
Malawi?
What could be the way forward?

The debate will be broadcast live on ZBS in Chichewa and English.
