How to change the
default language settings
of your Texas Tech
e-mail account

Why TechMail?
Being in a new country and speaking
English as a second language is
dicult enough. Adjusting your
language settings will help ensure you
can communicate condently and
eciently.
TechMail is an important student
resource and is the most ecient way
to contact various oces, instructors
and even other students.

Texas Tech University also uses


TechMail to notify students of
important matters and events.
Every student is required to have an
active email account through Texas
Tech Universitys email service,
TechMail.
TechMail uses Microsoft Oces Wep
App program.

Logging on to TechMail
While connected to the internet and
using an internet browser with which
you are comfortable, navigate to your
TechMail account either through the
Raiderlink website at
raiderlink.ttu.edu, or directly through
mail.ttu.edu. These instructions will
utilize the Raiderlink website.
On the Raiderlink website, enter your
username and password in the elds
indicated. They are the same as those
of your eRaider account.

Once signed in, you will arrive at the


Raiderlink homepage.

Next, click on the envelope icon in the


top right corner labeled Email.

TechMail-box
Following the Email web link should
automatically sign you in to TechMail.
If prompted for a username and
password, enter those used previously
for Raiderlink.
To the right, you will nd the TechMail
Inbox. Now, select the Options drop
down menu in the top right corner.
When the menu appears, click on the
See All Options choice.

then lead you to the Options
homepage.

Managing TechMail
Settings
From within the menu list on the left
of the screen, select Settings and
then the Regional option, indicated
by the map icon along the top menu.

From the rst drop-down eld, choose your


desired language. Once selected, displayed
text will show preview of the new language.

Once you have selected your new
language, you may also adjust the
date or time display.
When you have changed the settings
to your liking, select the green check
marked Save in the bottom right of
the window.

Bien hecho!
Your displayed language has now been
changed! Select Correo from the top
left of your screen to return to your
inbox.

Menus, default folders and instructions


now display in the new language.
Note that any non-default folders will
show in what language they were added.
