LESSON INTRODUCTION
Students will get the opportunity to show off some of their gaming skills. The A
Tangled Web application, found on https://www.brainpop.com/games/atangledweb/ , is a
game where the student lead the spider into the gate in order to climb to the next
level.
LESSON ACTIVITIES
The students are to play individually but share tactics and experiences with their
group in order to help the entire team complete all the stages of the game. The
students are tasked with leading the spider into the gate in order to move to the
next level. Each level gets harder in difficulty and require the students to use their
knowledge of angles in order to proceed. The game will test angles in triangles,
circles, parallel and perpendicular lines, and other polygons.
LESSON CLOSURE
After teacher has demonstrated the game, students are to use the rest of the class
to complete the game and write on a separate sheet of paper what they learned
while completing the game.
ASSESSMENT (FORMATIVE AND/OR SUMMATIVE)
The teacher will import their class roster into MangaHigh.com. The website will
allow the teacher to add task for the entire class. Once the students are all
assigned the task of completing the game, the teacher will have a summative
sheet of how far each student has progressed in the game. Students should be
able to complete all levels in about 2 hours if they work collaboratively. The
students will be graded on how far they got in the game. Teacher will use the sheet
of paper that each student wrote what they learned in order to access how much
the student didnt know prior to playing the game.
ACCOMODATIONS FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS
