Overview of Activity
The purpose of the activity is for students to travel around Asia and complete tasks set out by the
teacher as fast as they can. Students will recall prior knowledge learnt during the unit to answer
questions about the culture and traditions in Sri Lanka, Japan and Cambodia.
Prior Knowledge
During the unit students have been learning about the cultures, religions and beliefs about countries
in the Asia region. Students have used encyclopaedias, the internet and books to understand
different countries cultures.
Lesson Objectives
Identify key features of Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Japan culture.
Explore important aspect of Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Japans cultures and traditions.

Assessment For Learning
The assessment for learning for this activity will consists of the teacher taking anecdotal notes on each student
whilst students are completing the activity. These notes will be used to record specific observations of individual
student behaviours, skills and attitudes as they complete the activity. These notes will provide the teacher with
information on student learning and provide direction for further learning.
