Given a paper of different actions, students will be able to


define what a verb is within one minute.
Provided commonly used verbs students should be able to
recognize any basic demonstration of the verb by accurately
circling the correct answer.
Provided with different verbs and tenses students will be
able to correctly conjugate the verb into the correct tense.
Pencil/paper-used for note taking and for demonstration

Students who have limited English skills, who are in the 6th
and 7th grade. Many have gone through the English
Language Learners Program prior. Used with moderate
technology available.
This lesson will provide a basic understanding of common
verbs used during the day. For example, breathing is done
every day and is a verb. This lesson will also teach how to
use these verbs in the proper tense.
Attention Getter: Hola, bienvenido a la clase Ingls! Hoy
vamos a aprender acerca de los verbos y cmo se utilizan.
Have slideshow already pulled up on projector prior to class.
Allow students to discuss within pairs their definition of a verb
for five minutes.
Have teacher go around the room and ask all students what
their opinion of a verb is.
Once instructor has all the understandings from their students,
begin the slideshow of examples of verbs.
The instructor will introduce and demonstrate each verb to the
class.

through the video.
9. Provide students with a multiple choice and fill in the blank
questions for ten minutes at the end of class as an assessment.
Students will be assessed using a timed quiz made up of multiple
choice and fill in the blank questions to measure their level of
understanding of the days lesson. (Approximately 10 minutes)
