The Conservative Party

General Information
The Conservative Party is lead by the Prime minister, David Cameron,
and have done very well on the last general election and have done
quite a lot over the past 5 years they have been in charge. In the 2010
general election, it was an absolute night mare, because more people
ended up not voting than the amount that actually did vote. However
the conservatives still came out on top. 21.9 people voted in total so
over half the population did not vote at all.

Party Leader
The man leading the Conservative Party is
David Cameron. He was born on October
9th, 1966 and currently 48 years old. He has
served as Prime minister of the United
Kingdom since 2010 . He has lead the
conservative party for 10 years and started
in 2005. Following Labour victor in the May
2005 general election, Michal Howard
announced his resignation as leader of the
Conservative Party and set a lengthy
timetable for the leadership election.
Cameron announced on 29 September
2005 that he would be a candidate.

What they stand for


Leading the coalition since 2010, David Cameron has been focussing on building a stronger, more
competitive economy and securing a Better future for Britain.. The Conservative Party promises to:
Create a northern powerhouse(Economy)
No one on minimum wage will have to pay income tax.(Personal taxation and housing)
Ensure everyone can see a GP between 8am and 8pm, seven days a week.(Health)
Open 500 new free schools over the next parliament.(Education)
Cut working age social security spending by 12bn.(Welfare)
Maintain the size of the regular armed services and not to reduce the army to below 82,000;retain
the Trident continuous at-sea nuclear deterrent.(Defence and security)
Raise the income tax threshold to 12,500.(Work)
Not raise VAT, national insurance or income tax, but raise the 40p income tax threshold to 50,000
Continue to increase the state pension by at least 2.5%.
Keep an ambition of delivering annual net migration in tens of thousands, not the hundreds of
thousands.(Immigration)
Consult on the introduction of a business-rate relief for local newspapers in England.(Culture)
Scrap the Human Rights Act and introduce a British Bill of rights.(European Union)

What they have done already


Over the past 5 years the Conservative party have been
trying to make our lives better in anyway possible. So far
the Conservative party have made:
760,000 more businesses to increase employment
1.75 million more people in work from February-April
2010 and September-November 2014
2 million more apprenticeships
and a lot more besides but this was done across the
whole of Britain.

Reasons to vote
Reasons to vote would be you would have a responsible, trustworthy
Prime minister, Improvement on jobs and plenty of policy's to make
the UK a more desirable country to come to and live in for everyone
around the world and a very good friend to turn to for help in a crisis
like upping the number of soldiers to 82,000
