As a result of this experience, Ms. Hagura was inspired to study with Aunty Doreen to become a feather lei teacher and to explore the possibilities of becoming a healing teacher. As a Japanese from Japan, Naomi is interested to bring the Hawaiian feather art to Japan. By doing this, it supports Ms. Haguras curiosity of exchanging cultural art practices all over the world.Naomis last name, Hagura () literally means feather storage. Thus she also explores her family roots through feather art. Naomi would like to share the knowledge of Hawaiian feather art of making flowers in this workshop.
