I Evocation.
1. Organization. Warm up.
Greeting pupils and creating the atmosphere. The teacher
asks pupils to answer to some questions and use the
answer of each question to complete a rebus on the
blackboard, and the will discover the name of one country
from the world. Examples of questions are: Name the
capital of the USA; Where is situated the Museum Of
Childhood? ; How many red and white stripes are there on
the flag of USA? Etc.

The teacher asks pupils what they had to prepare. Pupils


answer their homework. They had to prepare exercises 4, 6
and 7 at pg.57, to say which is the meaning of the
underlined words; to combine two sentences into one using
And or But; to complete some sentences using the past
tense form of the verbs.
II. Preparation.
Teacher explains the Past Simple and Past Progressive
tenses, using the blackboard and examples of time
indicators, sentences and verbs.
III. Realization of meaning.
Pupils have to use 5 verbs ( to play, to see, to drink, to talk,
to build), to create positive, negative and interrogative
sentences using the Past Simple and Past Progressive
tense. They have to write the sentences on the blackboard,
for a better understanding of the theme. Then they have to
answer to 10 questions about USA, exercise 8 at pg. 59.
IV. Feedback.
The teacher asks the pupils if everything is clear or not,
pupils share opinions, make conclusions, express likes and
dislikes.
V. Assessment.
The teacher gives necessary explanations. The teacher puts
marks in diaries.
VI. Homework.
The teacher gives the homework. They will have to answer
at 10 questions about United Kingdom, in writing form.
