Civil War Timeline Directions:

Students, this assignment will conclude our Civil War unit. Throughout the unit,
we used many primary sources, books, articles, and videos to learn about the Civil
War. Using all of the things you learned, your job is to create a timeline of the Civil
War with at least 8-10 items. Each event on the timeline must include the date, a
picture, and a 3-5 sentence description (this description will be on a separate
document). You may use any of the primary sources we used in class as I will scan
these images into the computer for you and email them. On
http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/civil-war-in-america/index.html you will find many
of the pictures we investigated in class. You may want to use some of these
pictures in your timelines. When you go onto the website, click the dates next to
Prologue to find any images you want to use. You are not required to use these
photos, however. You can search the internet for any other photos or information
youd like to include in your timeline.
