APPLICATION ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION :

1. RESPONSIBILITY
a. Responsible to complete commercial and technical proposal.
b. Responsible for internal coordination in proposal preparation.
c. Responsible for external (Client, Vendor, Principle) coordination in proposal preparation.
d. Responsible for proposal content correctness refer to RFQ and any other Bid clarification and
addendum.
e. Responsible for proposal costing correctness related to scope of work, scope of supply and
specification.
2. COORDINATION LINE
a. During proposal stage, coordination to Sales Engineer.
b. During proposal stage, coordination to Lead Proposal Engineer.
3. PROPOSAL STAGE
a. Reviewed all aspect described on RFQ and Bid Document.
b. Generate Technical Proposal and Commercial Proposal
c. Generate equipment list
d. Generate MTO (Material Take Off) for Instrument List and Valve List from P&ID.
e. Perform RFQ (Request for Quotation) to vendor and/or principle
f. Communicate with client if any data which need to clarify.
g. Communicate with principle which related to process, equipment and internal design.
h. Review proposal from principle and vendor.
i. Generate costing structure based on scope of work, scope of supply and specification.
j. Communicate with internal PPE for supporting data required.
4. SKILL REQUIRED
Understand project and engineering work flow.
Able to understand project specification.
Familiarity with API, ASME and ANSI standards a plus. .
Able to read and understand instrument vendor catalogue.
Intermediate to advanced level skills with Microsoft Office software and Windows Operating system.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Detail orientated.
Effective analytical and problems solving skills.
Creative and innovative.
