Comparing the past to the present


For students to be able to compare the past and present of a specific site in their local
community through a visual representation

For students to use the pictures they took from the walk through their community

Success Criteria

Students are able to compare both pictures and identify both the past and present in
these
Students can confidently share and discuss their posters with whole group
Have students choose their photo they took while on the walk and also the same image
from the past (from Bacchus Marsh Heritage Guide book)
Students are required create ta way to compare both pictures of their historical site

(past and present)


Examples could be: poster decorating at their own leisure
Students are to come together as a group and share their poster and discuss why they
chose this historical site and something they have learnt about their particular site since
going on walk
Create a mind map with students on all the things we have learnt and discovered over
this whole unit
Students could also contribute any ideas or topics they found interesting or that theyd
like to further investigate
