Primarily responsible for the development, coordination, and monitoring of the Seven Oak AVID Middle School AVID
system. Collaboratively develop and implement the AVID site team plan. Create and refine the student recruitment
process and selection of students for the AVID electives. Assist teachers and administrators in placing students in
rigorous curriculum. Collect and analyze data to monitor the equity and progress and make modifications as needed.
Design and lead regularly scheduled site team meetings. Complete annual AVID certification reports and submit reports
to the Division Director of AVID and to the national AVID Center in a timely manner. Attend and lead ongoing
professional development on AVID strategies such as WICOR, and college readiness initiatives. Develop and lead yearlong professional development on CORNELL focused note taking. Advocate for AVID students and their academic and
behavioral success. Collaboratively develop master schedule based on data and student needs, to ensure success for all.
Collaboratively collect data, create a vision, and present to school board to ensure continuity of the AVID system.

curriculum. Teach the AVID elective class and help create a college-going atmosphere. Collect and analyze data
(grades, OAKS & MAPS test scores, attendance, and referrals) to monitor the progress and success of each AVID student.
