ABOUT!

My name is Ciera McCarthy, I have just completed a three year Digital film course at the University
of Greenwich. My career goals after i get my degree is to start working as a runner and then work
and learn my way up to a producing role. I have many skills I can bring to a work force for example
I am well organised, punctual, have great team spirit and I have a need to learn how this industry
works. !

University of Greenwich - (2012-present) Digital Film - 3 years course !

In this course I am able to learn the film and TV industry through a number of practical coursework
and the use of lectures to study the theories and practices used in film making. In the three years I
have studied at this university i have worked on a number of productions such as a interpretation
of the video game The last of us, a documentary about a pillow fight in London, made two short
comedy films one is called metal about two friends who need to grow up and BoB Woodrow Stories about a children's writer who struggles on the dating scene. !

St Charles catholic sixth form - (2011-2012)!

At six form i achieved a B in AS media, A in media GCSE and two D* in BETC business level 3. I
spent two years at St Charles. !

Sacred heart high school - ( - 2011) !

At sacred heart I achieved 5 GCSE in English, Maths, Science, History and RE. I also achieved a
IT BETC. !

Marks and Spencer- sales assistant - ( 2011) As part of my business BETC I complected work
experience at Marks and Spencer, at this work experience I was able to work in the different departments in the store and was able to work with a wide range of people. I was asked and completed the tasks that the team leaders needed me to do. !

St Vincent Primary School - Teaching assistant (2010) In sacred heart I did work experience in a
Primary school. this was something different and out of my comfort zone. I was able to work on my
communication skills as I was working with both students and teachers. This was a new experience for me that went well and learn a lot from. !

United Colour of Benetton - sales Assistant ( 2010) As a sale assistant my job was to keep the
shop floor clear and products tidy, I also had to make sure that the changing rooms where clear
and ready for customers. I also and to alarm products and help costumers use the united colour of
benetton clothes size system.!

The Richmond Arms - This is a family business when pub had busy days, I help by collecting
glass, plates and organise them to be cleaned. I also help organise the play list for the pub. this
lets me interact with people and learn how the business is run.!

Young Enterprise !
While at St Charles sixth form i joined the young enterprise in my second year. young enterprise is
for young people to form a business in there schools and colleges and then compete with other
schools and are able to show there products to people in the business industry. I was one of the
Team leaders and one of the presenters. I had to organise the group and make sure everything
was working well. we won the the first round and came runners up in the central London final winning best product and best business plan. !
