Plan and design programs, flyers and posters for choral events.
Act as advisor to music majors.
Write grant requests to obtain equipment including six acoustic shells (valued at $12,000) and music lockers ($600).
Establish and maintain a relationship with the community, including faculty recitals and special events.
Raise funds for special events, such as the 2013 performance of the Vivaldi GLORIA, with professional orchestra and
soloists.
Plan special events and seminars for students. Workshops have included Speech Therapy and an Indian Music
Seminar. Special events have included a 9/11 Memorial, where the students raised funds for Joplin Tornado victims,
and a 2010 Sacred Music Combined Concert, where students raised funds for Haiti earthquake relief.
Established the Crowder Food Bank in conjunction with the Baptist Student Union.

Lead the Worship Team vocalists in rehearsals, as necessary.
Rehearse with choir weekly, in preparation for Total Praise - An Evening of Worship in Song, which includes several
pieces I have composed, along with traditional choir anthems, hymns and spiritual/gospel pieces.
Arrange music for the Grace Point Church Choir to sing with the Worship Team, concentrating on a praise and
worship setting, rather than a traditional choir. Arrangements occasionally arrange for extra instrumentation.
Create sheet music and practice tracks for members of the worship team and choir.
Lead the choir in rehearsals, preparing them to sing with the worship band.

Guided students in how to cut their music for competition and sat in on several recording sessions as a vocal and
musical advisor. Students were very successful in local and national competitions, winning awards both as soloists
and groups in Arkansas Kids and American Kids competitions, local and state vocal competitions, as well as regional

First United Methodist Church - Prairie Grove, AR
Directed the adult choir with member numbers ranging from five to twenty throughout the year.
Composed anthems, introits and prayer responses for the choir.
During the Advent Season, directed a combined choir during the "Mid-Way" program.
Wrote a narrative for the Christmas and Easter services.
Brought in guest singers, instrumentalists and a liturgical dancer to enhance the worship service.
Introduced "Christian Contemporary" music to the church by singing solos and bringing in several of my private
students and ensembles.

o Designed curriculum for an undergraduate voice major to be my "assistant" and have the opportunity to
teach both private voice lessons and voice class.

Served as the music class instructor for the elementary school summer camp program.
Two days a week were spent with the children rotating from one class to another (sports, art, music, etc.). Students
